What education and training is required to be a Naturopathic Doctor? Naturopathic doctors in British Columbia require a 4 year undergraduate degree (which includes premedical sciences), a 4 year Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (from 1 of the 7 North American accredited schools), completion of 2 sets of Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations (NPLEX) and passing the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC) board exams.
What can I expect from my first appointment? Your first appointment will be an hour long in-depth look at your past medical history, current health state, future health goals, and may include a brief physical exam. Dr. Weiss wants to hear your story so she can get a holistic perspective to determine what diagnostics and treatments are appropriate for you.
