For as long as I can remember I have been interested in what makes the body healthy. Nutrition, natural remedies, Chinese medicine, music therapy, counselling, and physical fitness have always been a part of my life and by the time I got to university, I discovered that naturopathic medicine interwove these areas.
My choice to become a naturopathic doctor was solidified when I dealt with my own health issues. Chronic bronchitis, insomnia, and digestive disturbances were clouding my life. After a few sessions with my naturopathic doctor, I started to feel more alive. We worked together using acupuncture, herbs, supplements and made changes to my diet. Not only did my health concerns disappear, but other areas of my life improved. My skin was clearer, my mind was sharper, I had more energy and the journey of listening to my body began.
Today, my passion is listening to my patients’ stories (when they last felt healthy and what has changed) and discovering treatment plans that are right for them. I use natural therapies that are least invasive with minimal side effects to prevent future concerns. My focus is to support the body in healing and not to suppress symptoms. My ultimate goal is to help guide my patients into feeling their best version of themselves.
